Having been surrounded by the business since childhood, Rachel decided to pursue a career in the jewelry trade soon after graduation. In 2003 she chose to further her career by attaining formal education at the Gemological Institute of America in New York City, where she earned her Graduate Gemologist degree. With this new accreditation, combined with more than 10 years market experience, Rachel began appraising jewelry, and soon opened the first Jewelry judge in Western Canada. Ms. Cohen maintains a full gem lab at her office, and remains current with appraisal manuals, current price guides, auction results, GIA reference books, trade periodicals, and by attending trade shows regularly. |
